What got you into American Football to start with? Did you play any contact sport beforehand?

Played rugby for many years, had friends that played American football at youth and got me involved and I much preferred it.

What was your career like at the UniBall Level?

Div 2 midlands qtr finalists in one of my seasons at Uni jets. Played tight end, full back and running back. Team vibes were great on and off the field. Socials were great and we trained and played hard.

Why did you start coaching American Football?

Wanted to improve myself as a player during the off-season by learning to coach. I wanted to learn more about schemes and development of people. I also loved the Uni ball atmosphere and wanted to give something back.

What advice would you have for a person interested in playing American Football?

Give it a go, try a few positions out rather than focusing on one, be coachable and earn your place on special teams.

What are you looking forward to the most this season with the City Wolfpack?

Team spirit at the first game, watching young athletes go out and make big plays.

Favourite NFL Team and why?

Atlanta Falcons, Tony Gonzalez was the best tight end in the league when I started watching and he played for the Falcons. Their jerseys and kit were also on point.

Favourite NFL Player and why?

Rob Gronkowski, always making huge plays and finishes blocks so well. Party animal that gets away with doing anything, whereas other players would be fined or disciplined by the league or their teams.
